Nail surgery.Ingrown toe nail is a condition in which the nail pierces the skin, commonly occurring on the big toe. It can be very painful and is caused by a variety of reasons, including poorly fitting footwear, incorrect nail cutting or injury.
If conservative treatment proves insufficient to provide long term relief then nail surgery is carried out. This involves a partial or complete avulsion, under local anaesthetic. Post operative care will be given after the procedure and a follow up appointment will be made. |
